    Do you have experience in real estate or property accounting? District Partners has teamed up with a leader in real estate management who is looking to add a talented Accounting Advisory Consultant to their team for a specific project until the end of the year. This role offers flexibility with the option for full-time or part-time hours, and competitive pay between 100-150k annualized.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Utilize your experience in property accounting and real estate to manage and oversee accounting functions for a portfolio of properties.
    • Prepare and review financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP.
    • Manage the month-end close process, including journal entries and account reconciliations.
    • Supervise year-end financial audits and common area expense audits.
    • Assist in the preparation of annual financial budgets and periodic forecast updates.
    • Ensure accounting processes are operating effectively and efficiently and identify opportunities for improvement.
    • Mentor and provide feedback to team members, fostering a collaborative and high-performing work environment.
    • Serve as a trusted advisor, communicating financial insights and solutions to clients and stakeholders.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in Accounting required; CPA or MBA preferred.
    • 3-5 years in an accounting position, with strong preference for candidates with real estate or property management experience.
    • Proficient in GAAP, Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word), and property management software (MRI, RealPage, Yardi).
    • Strong ability to understand complex accounting processes and employ effective auditing capabilities.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to build relationships with stakeholders.
    • Demonstrated proactive approaches to problem-solving with strong decision-making capability.
    • Strong leadership skills, with the ability to supervise and mentor team members effectively.
  • Compensation
    $150,000 per year
