    JOB SUMMARY

    Responsible for the facilitation of therapy in a variety of specific identified needs including the development and implementation of an individualized treatment plan, documentation of therapeutic experience via report writing and communication with referral sources and other professionals, and to provide an atmosphere conducive to wellness.

    JOB RELATIONSHIPS

    _Responsible to: _The entire client community in an outpatient counseling setting with emphasis on providing primary care to clients in a clinical capacity. Directly supervised by the Director of Clinical Operations, Outpatient Operations Manager, and Outpatient Operations Coordinator.

    Workers Supervised: On occasion, an employee in this position assumes a temporary supervisory status and directly supervises co-workers. However, during scheduled supervisory shifts, the Shift Supervisor is responsible for assigned counselors and any other staff working during the assigned shift.

    Interrelationships: Interacts ongoing with the management team, co-workers, referral sources, and other significant parties needed to enhance the client’s rehabilitation experience.

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Develop a treatment plan that addresses the needs of the youth with input from the client, referring agency, Director of Clinical Operations, Outpatient Operations Manager, and Outpatient Operations Coordinator.
    • Oversee all components of therapy and implement change when necessary to ensure quality programming. Implement treatment schedule to include: all group therapies, individual counseling, insight therapy, recreational therapy, and family therapy.
    • Responsible for communication to the management team and/or Mental Health Counselors regarding all situations effecting the well-being of the facility.
    • Maintain a standard of childcare that adheres to DPW regulations.
    • Attend and present treatment progress reviews in monthly clinical staff meetings.
    • Provide weekly individual counseling/psychotherapy sessions to A.R.R.T.S. clients and maintain appropriate documentation.
    • Provide clinical supervision/consultation to assigned Mental Health Counselors.
    • Participate and clinically document Group Therapy sessions for A.R.R.T.S. clients.
    • Provide Strategic Family Therapy to youth and families and provide documentation of all session outcomes.
    • Participate in the development of all therapeutic group curriculums.
    • Facilitate ISPT’s, reauthorization and treatment/progress review meetings, and/or other assigned duties delegated by the management team.
    • Provide individualized diagnostic impressions to the clinical team members.
    • Function as a liaison between the treatment team members.
    • Participate in an on-call schedule. The schedule will be communicated to staff on a regular basis.
    • Maintain appropriate communication with the entire treatment team.
    • Maintain professional documentation duties, i.e. Individual Treatment Plans, 60-day reports, incident reports, clinical progress notes, and other responsibilities delegated by the Director of Clinical Operations, Operations Manager, and Operations Coordinator.
    • Perform all other duties assigned by the Director of Clinical Operations, Operations Manager, and Operations Coordinator.

    QUALIFICATIONS

    Education: Master’s Degree in a behavioral sciences field.

    Experience and Training: Minimum of three years experience in behavioral healthcare services for children and adolescents. A minimum of two years experience working directly with abuse or trauma victims. Must have or be in training to receive certification in the treatment of sexually aggressive youth in at least a 60-credit hour academic and practicum program with competency evaluation and testing. Certification is a requirement within six months of the date of hire.

    Job Knowledge: Comprehensive knowledge of DTAC functions, clinical philosophy, and awareness of the DPW laws related to juvenile rehabilitation.
