Our company is growing rapidly and is looking for a part-time sales representative with extensive sales experience, transportation industry experience is a plus. Please note the position will be located at our Headquarters in Leawood, KS. This is an in-person role. 24 hours per week with flexible schedule. $2000 monthly plus commission.

Responsibilities for a Part-Time Sales Representative
Reporting to the Vice President of Sales in the Leawood office, the part-time sales representative will be responsible for increasing company revenue by identifying and developing new business opportunities.

• Phone calls to customers to sell truck driver training programs for CDL Class A and B, Entry Level Drivers Training (“ELDT”), and Passenger (“P”) endorsements.
• Candidate will develop new client relationships in the trucking industry, municipalities, distributing and delivery, construction/contractor, waste disposal, hauling and excavation.
• Contact new customers by cold calling and using known contacts within the industry.
• With the guidance of the leadership team, negotiate rates.
• Follow up with customers to continue to build relationships and increase business opportunities over the phone or through teleconference capabilities such as Microsoft Teams.
• Other sales functions as requested by the company.

Qualifications for Part-Time Sales Representative

• Minimum of high school education. College Degree preferred.
• Trucking experience, preferably a retired freight sales leader with knowledge of the training requirements to achieve a Class A or B CDL.
• Efficient time management skills with the ability to stay focused on primary business objectives in a fast-paced, dynamic training environment.
• Intermediate to advanced communication skills with strong customer focus.
• Strong negotiation skills.
