Buckingham Search is partnering with a top law firm to find a Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Manager
Overview: Reporting to the DEI Director, the DEI Manager will lead the development and implementation of key diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives, aligning with the organization’s strategic goals. This role will focus on promoting DEI through collaboration with various committees and affinity groups, while engaging diverse lawyers, leadership, and external partners.
Responsibilities:
- Lead regional and firmwide DEI programs, focusing on client-facing initiatives.
- Manage DEI and women's committees, providing strategic support.
- Oversee the Associate Diversity Committee, fostering collaboration with other DEI groups.
- Develop and maintain partnerships with clients and diversity professionals.
- Ensure consistent DEI branding and messaging across events.
- Strengthen relationships with external DEI organizations and develop joint programming.
- Support strategic planning and resource allocation for DEI policies and initiatives.
- Travel up to 25%, with occasional non-standard hours required for events.
Education and Experience:
Required:
- Bachelor’s Degree.
- A minimum of 5 years of prior work experience.
- Experience with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and web-based services.
- Strong project management skills.
- Demonstrated ability to identify problems, brainstorm solutions, and implement effective initiatives.
- Ability to collaborate across departments and manage multiple resources.
Preferred:
- J.D. degree.
- Law firm or corporate experience.
- Prior work experience requiring collaboration on projects.
