Dock Attendant - Harbor Landing Marina (Part Time)
SUMMARY Answer phone calls/emails assisting guest with any questions and requests. Welcome all guests providing customer service while maintaining a clean workspace in the office. Maintain cash register handling in workspace. To manage the overall daily operation of Marina and to insure a positive work environment. Handle the day-to-day operation of the docks. Assist in the general maintenance and upkeep of the harbor boat fleet, assist Guests in the operation of the boat fleet and promote the recreational activities of Margaritaville at Lanier Islands.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Welcoming Guest
Operating Cash Register
Balancing the cash register
Maintain a clean workspace
Helping guest with reservations
Maintain Inventory
Maintain Bathrooms
Maintain Trash and Parking lots
Ring up fuel and all merchandise
Cleaning the Group Boats
Answer phone calls/emails
Assist guest
Basic Math
Telephone Etiquette
Must be able to read and write
Must have computer skills
Multitask
Oversee the efficient running of the docks daily.
Maintain the general upkeep and maintenance of the boat fleet
Assist Guests in the operation of the harbor fleet
Oversee check out & check in procedures with boat rental Guests
Assist Guests with boating problems
Maintain high safety standards daily
Requisition supplies
Promote the recreational activities of Margaritaville at Lake Lanier Islands
Accurately maintain daily\monthly gasoline inventories
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This position has no supervisor responsibilities.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Prior customer service and cash register handling experience preferred.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
