Summary of Position:

The Dogtenders will ensure that all people and their pups are safely enjoying the park in a friendly and welcoming environment. At some points, there will be more than one Dogtender present within the park, in which all Dogtenders must be comfortable working together as a team to keep the park up to Off Leash standards. Dogtenders must enjoy working with dogs and feel confident in problem-solving when it comes to incidents within the park, both with humans and their furry friends.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Ensure safety: safety between dogs, and safety between dogs and humans.

Engage with both humans and our furry friends to ensure a positive experience for all.

Maintain the cleanliness of the indoor and outdoor social space, with help of the groundskeeper.

Energized by interacting with others and provide excellent customer service!

Engaging with people and making them and their pups feel welcome.

Greet and help check in Off Leash pups and guests.

Remain vigilant during the shift.

Recognize dog behavior that could escalate into an incident.

React to the offending dog behavior with redirection, correction, and proper technique.

Aid in the smooth execution of private and public events.

Proactively monitor outdoor and indoor spaces for cleanliness and possible safety concerns.

Learn about dog behavior and utilize that knowledge to ensure safety of our guests.

Monitor and restock dog waste stations.

Assist with opening and closing duties as needed, including furniture reset, turf washing, restocking, and resetting technology.

Qualifications and Requirements:

At least 18 years of age.

Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.

Positive attitude!

Comfortable with technology.

Strong work ethic and integrity.

Comfortable working in an environment with off-leash dogs.
