Technical Services Representative - Charlotte, NC
GENERAL DESCRIPTION / PRIMARY PURPOSE
Provide Dole’s customers ongoing technical and training related to the handling, banana ripening rooms and retail merchandising techniques of Fresh Fruit products, in order to recommend the best practices in a timely and accurate manner.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS/DUTIES OF THE POSITION
Visit customer facilities and comply the assigned schedule, reviewing all processes and practices performed by customers, in order to provide technical training and support and ensure a proper execution of practices, correct use of equipment and merchandising techniques.
Work closely with Sales and Research & Development personnel (sometimes with Latin divisions) to resolve technical issues related to the handling, packaging, ripening and merchandising of fresh fruit products.
Elaborate reports related to findings and recommendations provided for each customer visited, in order to send the information on time to the Sr. Technical Services Rep.
Provide training in terms of technical matters related to the handling, ripening and merchandising activities, in order to assure the execution of the best practices.
