Assists the director in the administration and support service; planning and estimating projects, preventive maintenance, engineering procedures, security procedures, cost prevention.
Ensures that equipment brought into the hospital meets criteria for hospital use and the testing is appropriate with records/ documentation created in the equipment management program.
Recommends equipment and receives contracts.
Maintains the equipment calibration program.
Reviews equipment inventories for loss and additions, and advises hospital personnel of malfunctioning or missing equipment.
Coordinates the work order system and prioritizes the biomedical work.
Maintains an attitude for life safely, energy conservation, and cost savings.
Supports the MSDS, Hazardous Communication, Safety Management and Infection Control policies and procedures.
Attends required meetings, inservices, lectures, and seminars.
Required Skills
MINIMUM EDUCATION: High School Diploma or GED equivalent, Biomedical Program or Military Biomedical Training. Associate degree preferred.
Required Experience
MINIMUM WORK EXPERIENCE: 2 years in a biomedical program. 2 year with a biomedical company, military biomedical experience.
