Primary Responsibilities:
The Sales Support role helps manage and develop sales programs as well as administrative functions in sales, marketing, and operations relating to our clients’ products sales growth. KPIs for success include relationship building with clients, assisting in business reviews, monthly sales reports, and general administrative duties. Day-to-day tasks will include organizing, understanding, and interpreting data into reports for the sales team. Additional responsibilities include periodic industry show attendance and up to 5% travel to assist and help drive company growth.
Essential Functions:
- Sales reporting and data analysis including corporate, client, and general requests.
- Assist in the development and execution of promotional plans, ensuring alignment with brand strategies.
- Maintain Spins/IRI data, coordinate marketing materials for vendor monthly reports, and organize promotional information for retailer presentations.
- Complete retailers’ forms including promotion submissions and pricing requests.
- Send communications to vendors, retailers, and internal sales teams.
- Collect and report accurate and timely sales-related data as required by the Sales and Management teams on a weekly and monthly basis as well as ad hoc, period, and quarterly reports.
- Collect sales records and trends and evaluate performance measured against sales quotes. Ex: KPI and Budget reports
- Communicate promotions and sales programs to the Sales team.
- Manage and develop Global Retailer Category Review System with timely item submissions and daily reviews/updates to be distributed to vendors.
- Participate in client and retailer business reviews.
- Develop and utilize appropriate analytical reports.
- Assist in corporate and client participation in distributor sales meetings, food shows, etc.
Qualifications / Additional Skills /Aptitude:
- Excellent Microsoft office data skills especially, Excel (Formulas, Pivot Tables, etc.)
- Data-driven analytical thinker with the ability to analyze and report data in a digestible format to sales teams.
- Comfortable in an administrative and support position.
- Excellent customer service, grammar, verbal, and writing skills.
- Resourceful, results-oriented, and well-organized.
- Comfortable performing multi-faceted tasks and projects in conjunction with day-to-day activities with minimal supervision.
- Strong interpersonal skills, ability to get along with diverse personalities, tactful, and flexible with both internal and external customers.
- Be decisive and able to recognize and support the organization’s preferences and priorities.
- Functions well in a team environment.
- A High School diploma or general education degree (GED) is required; a college degree is preferred.
- Minimum of one (1) year of Customer Service, Sales experience, or data analysis required; two (2) or more preferred.
- Strong data entry/10-key skills with a high rate of accuracy and proficiency with Microsoft Office required.
- Functions well in a team environment.
