We stick to our word and we work as a team. Position Overview: Dometic is seeking a Human Resource Specialist for 3 rd Shift to add to our growing Greenbrier, TN facility! The HR Specialist acts as the liaison between employees and management, must be approachable and available for employee concerns. This position performs a variety of administrative duties in Human Resources including maintaining personnel records, benefits and policies administration, attendance and payroll, assisting employees and supervisors, execution of policies and procedures, and special projects. This role reports to the Human Resources Manager. Duties: Responsible for HR generalist duties such as employee relations, compensation, benefits, rewards, policy implementation/administration, performance management, training, and compliance Participates in the establishment and implementation of HR strategy with the HR team and location Management Prepares materials for new hires; presents new employee orientation explaining policies and procedures, benefits, as well as a brief overview of the entire operation to give new employees a sense of what is being accomplished throughout the organization Maintains employees records and ensures confidential information is handled appropriately and is kept secure; e nters new employees into the HRIS, payroll, and time/attendance systems; updates and maintains the employee attendance, vacation records and personnel files; gathers and completes the necessary documentation for preparation of payroll such as new hire information, tax information, wage increases, benefit enrollments or changes that affect payroll, updates HRIS system, runs and reconciles HRIS reports Processes initial paperwork for workers compensation claims by completing forms and providing documentation to the appropriate carrier. Performs general routine clerical functions related to Human Resources; assists in coordination of annual activities such as open enrollment meetings, hearing tests, flu vaccinations, and other company events as needed Assists employees and supervisors with personnel, payroll, benefits, and miscellaneous items in a professional and timely manner; maintains positive employee relations Ensures policies and procedures are administered in a fair and consistent manner according to company standards and employment/labor laws; coordinates policies related to service awards, FMLA, disability, benefits, and other company policies; acts as a liaison with benefit carriers providing and obtaining basic employee information Investigates complaints reported and makes recommendations for resolution Provides guidance to supervisors and employees on problems originating from individual work situations, work environment or personal problems.Counsels management and employees on concerns and complaints and takes appropriate steps to see that they are resolved or channeled to management in an effort to retain union-free status Ensures policies and procedures are administered in a fair and consistent manner according to company standards and employment/labor laws; coordinates policies related to service awards, FMLA, disability, benefits, and other company policies; acts as a liaison with benefit carriers providing and obtaining basic employee information. Serves as first point of contact for employees; must remain accessible to employees and maintain positive employee relations. Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.
