    Donor and Grants Specialist is a service minded individual who will be instrumental in writing, researching, and administering grants, ensuring that our organization’s funding initiatives are effectively tracked, reported, and managed. The ideal candidate will have skills that relate to grant writing, grant research, and donor management systems, and will play a key role in ensuring compliance and accurate reporting to stakeholders. Previous experience is preferred however, training will be provided as needed.

    Reports to: Director of Development & Communication

    Hours of Availability:

    Full-Time (hourly)

    Monday – Friday, hours range between 8am – 6:00pm with hours adjusted to meet the needs of the role. Evenings, holidays and weekends as scheduled

    Compensation: DOE

    · Demonstrated attention to detail/strong organizational skills to assist with multiple daily assignments and special projects.

    · Ambitious to exceed expectations.

    Job Specific Qualifications:

    · Minimum of two (2) years administrative experience including grants administration and compliance, and donor services, preferred

    · Intermediate Microsoft office skills

    · Highly organized with unrelenting attention to detail

    · Knowledge of financial management and budget tracking related to grant funds is a plus.

    · Demonstrated ability to work in multiple data management systems

    · Excellent writing, editing, analysis, verbal and interpersonal skills; strong attention to detail and accuracy

    · Ability to work independently and collaboratively across multiple programs and departments within the agency to successfully garner information and input

    · Be deadline-driven and possess especially strong organizational capabilities

    · Proficiency in grant management software and donor management systems is helpful but not required

    Career Summary (not all-inclusive list):

    Serves to provide organizational support for grant writing, reporting and administration. Maintains internal data management in working collaboratively interdepartmentally. Contribute to overall team efforts in planning and development and shares in the decision-making process, implementing and promoting all decisions in a spirit of cooperation. Provide Rescue Mission tours as needed.

    All team members may be asked to complete other duties as assigned by leadership/management with an expectation to complete these assignments as requested.
