  • Responsibilities

    The Certified Medical Dosemitrist performs treatment planning procedures including dose calculations and computerized treatment plans.

    Required Skills

    • Technical skills in the operation of radiation oncology equipment.
    • Proficient in generating dose distributions and dose calculations in collaboration with the medical physicist and radiation oncologist.
    • Effective communication skills.
    • Good understanding of Title 17 and principles of radiation Safety.
    • Proficient skills in treatment planning programs: Eclipse, CMS
    • Skilled in performing quality analysis of radiation therapy equipment
    • Precision and focus on details
    • Ability and knowledge to work with patients ages adolescence through elderly.

    Required Experience

    Education:

    • Graduate from accredited radiotherapy program
    • R.T.(T) and CRT certificates
    • Dosimetry Certification
    • B.S. Degree preferred

    Experience:

    • Minimum three (3) years experience as radiation therapy technologist.
    • Knowledge of various types of radiation oncology equipment.
