About you
A "Work Activity Coordinator" (WAC) opening exists in Texas City Operations. The WAC has the primary responsibility for ensuring the work is carried out safely in an effective and efficient manner. The candidate is responsible for the productivity of the planned and unplanned work and the tools, equipment, outside resources, leveraged resources etc. required to complete jobs. The Work Activity Coordinator will be responsible for monitoring maintenance costs and serving on various teams as needed.
Your Key Responsibilities
Assigns job resources. Coordinate "Do Maintenance" work crews.
Reports the progress of the daily work to enable adjustments to the daily work schedule when needed.
Reviews job package and prepares to do the task.
Creates a job package for unscheduled work
Assist the person doing the work in the identification whether the job can be carried out. If the job cannot be carried out, assign other work to the person doing the work as per the daily schedule.
In case that equipment is not prepared for maintenance reassign person doing the work to the next job.
Check if all scheduled job sequences have been completed.
Check if all the work for the job is done including the paperwork.
Reviews work status with service providers and originators and adjusts schedule as required.
Performs field visits to assure safe work practices and housekeeping. Also, follow up job progress and assess potential issues
Assists in allocation of resources for resource leveraging.
Identifies resource leveraging opportunities and integrates into resource assignments.
Work closely with the MAC / scheduler and field planner as needed.
Lead Backlog Meetings.
Tracks delay codes and addresses areas of opportunity.
Required qualifications
Minimum of High school diploma or GED is required.
3 years of experience in a Production, Maintenance or craft position is required.
Must be proficient in computers to perform job tasks.
Strong skill set in Microsoft Word and Excel is desired.
Must be proficient in the use of SAP and Global pipe specification systems.
A minimum requirement for this U.S. based position is the ability to work legally in the United States. No visa sponsorship/support is available for this position, including for any type of U.S. permanent residency (green card) process.

This role does involve elevated work greater than or equal to four feet above the ground.
Your preferred qualifications include:
Associates degree or higher.
2 years of experience in a "Work Activity Coordinator" (WAC) or equivalent role is desired.
Previous Daily Planner experience strongly preferred.
