    Job Description

    _ The Position_

    • This is a locally-based, not remote position
    • Reports to the Client Services Manager
    • Performs initial client in-home consultations, creates estimates, and follows through with client to conversion
    • Manages all aspects of the project through completion
    • Acts in the best interest of the the clients and provides exceptional customer service
    • Represents the best of The Downsizers to clients, referral and resource partners as well as in the greater community

    Meet with prospective clients and/or their families, listening to their needs and explaining The Downsizer benefits and how we can address their specific needs

    Create project estimates based on Downsizer procedures

    Create and communicate project proposals to the client, follow up to answer client questions/concerns, guiding the client to project conversion

    Manage all project aspects including:

    • Implementing a customized Move Plan and Timeline
    • Providing floor planning services
    • Collaborating with the Team Lead to define the project needs and sorting/clear out strategies as well as vetting items for consignment or resale
    • Coordinating with resource partners including movers, auctioneers, consignors, nonprofits and junk haulers
    • Collaborating with and updating The Downsizers Team through proper communication channels
    • Communicating scheduling and resource needs to the Scheduling Coordinator
    • Communicating project-related information to the client, community, realtor, family members - main point of contact
    • Overseeing the Team through SORT, PACK, MOVE & SETTLE phases (required working on the job during the initial training period and then as needed on an on-going basis) or other project types such as estate liquidations, downsizing only, or special projects
    • Advising on and participating in art hanging services
    • Providing personal shopping services (items needed for project, recommendations on purchases, researching options, etc.)
    • Reviewing timesheets for accuracy
    • Oversight and tracking of estimated to actual hours
    • Following-up after the move to ensure client satisfaction
    • Wrapping up final project details and closing our the project through company processes

    Foster relationships with referral partners, vendors and senior communities

    Inspire, mentor, train and lead the Team

    Represent The Downsizers at conferences, presentations, trade shows, and networking opportunities in the greater community

    Participate in business development

    Carefully handle confidential and time sensitive material

    Protect company resources and proprietary information

    Work hands-on at projects, as needed

  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    Our ideal candidates enjoy working with and supporting adults and individuals in transition. This candidate is a critical thinker and is highly flexible. This candidate is teachable, adaptable to different personalities, a team player and comfortable with technology.

    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
    • Strong critical thinking, organizational and time management skills
    • Willingness to take on responsibility and challenges; comfortable with managing multiple projects, timelines and resources at once
    • Technology savvy with laptops, cell phones, office equipment, iOS software and industry specific software
    • BA/BS degree
    • Experience with seniors, preferred
    • Engaging and effective presentation skills a plus
    • Organizational and design/decorating experience a plus
    • Available to work 4-5 days per week between the hours of 9am-6pm (no guarantee of the number of hours in a given week)
    • Must have access to a reliable vehicle, computer and cell phone
    • Must be comfortable with driving company vans (training is provided)
    • Should be able to lift up to 35 lbs. and work physically for a minimum of 6 hours
    • Complete background check

    Additional Information

    ** Compensation:**

    • $56-65k, commensurate with experience
    • Eligible for tips and bonus plan

    • Mileage Reimbursement to Client Projects
    • Preferred availability: at least 32 hours per week; up to 40 hours per week​​​​​
