Skills

• Ability to understand and create blueprints for the shop and installation team

• Understanding of basic carpentry and fabrication techniques

• Understanding of 3D and 2D modeling techniques

• Understanding the requirements of CNC milling

• Understanding of basic building codes both residential and commercial

• Scenic experience a bonus

• Attention to detail

• Problem solving

Software

• Proficient in AutoCAD

• Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite

• Microsoft Office Suite

• Bonus points for Autodesk Maya

Job Tasks

• Create fabrication and installation blueprints

• Create custom cabinetry designs and blueprints

• Inspect submitted designs for potential safety and fabrication issues.

• Output cut paths for CNC machining

• Editing designs and blueprints for fabrication, shipping, and safety considerations

• Verifying the accuracy of the final product

• Preparing Bill of Materials
