WORKFORCE MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST
WHAT YOU'LL DO
The Workforce Management Specialist creates and applies scheduling solutions using advanced software to provide staffing for various departments, in line with variable business needs. Provides assistance to internal customers, including both staff and management teams, within a cooperative and helpful setting. They ensure adherence to department and property policies, practices and procedures all while accomplishing multiple tasks.
ROLES EXPECTATIONS
Responsibilities include, but are not limited, to the following:
Develop scheduling solutions by analyzing staffing data provided by department leaders and FP&A.
Work with departments leaders to adjust staffing levels and approve weekly and daily schedule changes independently as necessary.
Process employee’s leave requests and leaves of absences, as per the HR team’s direction.
Develop and deliver best practice scheduling, rotation design and reporting to maintain consistency among business units.
Ensure ethical and equity issues as identified and managed in the scheduling process.
Ensure scheduling practices are developed in line with legislative requirements, local laws, and collective bargaining units protecting the company and employee interest.
Edits/corrects daily payroll in time keeping software in conjunction with department leaders.
Work as a team completing daily schedule operations, such as leave requests and call outs.
Other job-related duties as requested.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This position does not have supervisory responsibilities
REQUIREMENTS
Minimum two years of scheduling in the hospitality industry.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office software including Excel, Word, Teams, and Outlook.
Maintain composure under pressure and consistently meet deadlines with internal and external customers and contacts.
Work in a fast-paced and busy environment.
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret schedules, shift bids and labor productivity reports.
At least 21 years of age.
PREFERRED
Previous experience with Kronos, Workday and Virtual Roster software.
CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Must be able to qualify for licenses and permits required by federal, state and local regulations.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Must be able to sit, stand or walk for extended periods of time with frequent bending, stooping, and lifting.
Must be able to regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally up to 25 pounds unassisted in the performance of specific tasks as assigned.
Must have the ability to push, pull, reach, bend, twist, kneel and balance when performing job duties in varying work areas such as confined spaces.
WORKING CONDITIONS
Work is performed indoors in a climate-controlled environment and exposed to various environmental factors such as but not limited to noise, dust and smoke.
Close spaces while working with others.
