We are actively seeking an Auger Driller at Synergen Drilling, located in Shreveport, Louisiana that would be responsible for day-to-day operations on the drill rig, managing the drilling crew, and ensuring all scopes of the drilling project are met safely and on time. They will be expected to perform minor repairs and maintenance to the drill rig on a daily basis.
Essential Functions include, but not limited to:
Organize and assist in the mobilization and setup of equipment
Rig up drilling equipment and plan out any third party vendors required
Operate auger rig as instructed and ensure all goals are met
Manage crew of drilling personnel
Record drillers log and adjust drilling program as dictated by the borehole
Communicate with manager on status changes or issues faced
Communicate with customers on site in a manner that reflects the company’s core values
Become familiar with all related rules and regulations
Troubleshoot mechanical issues on drilling equipment
A qualified applicant must posses the following knowledge, skills, and abilities:
Current Class A Commercial Driver’s License
Basic understanding of water well drilling
Strong organizational skills
Mechanical troubleshooting skills
Physical Demands and Work Environment
Use hands or fingers; handle or feel objects, tools, or controls
Stand; walk; sit; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
Lift and/or move up to 100 pounds
Specific vision abilities required by this position include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, and the ability to adjust focus
The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to high
Work environment includes working outdoors in elements/weather
