Job Summary

We are seeking a Driver ~ Non-Emergency Medical Transportation to join our team! As an NEMT~ Driver, you will be transporting non-emergency patients to their provider appointments. You will also collect information, work closely with dispatch and receiving medical facilities. The ideal candidate has an excellent bedside manner, strong critical thinking skills, and works well in high-pressure or stressful situations. EMT certification is a PLUS, but not necessary.

Responsibilities

Transport patients and clients utilizing company vehicles in a safe, timely and professional manner; to various medical appointments, treatment facilities and providers.

Effectively communicate with dispatch regarding schedule progress and to receive instructions.

Maintain a professional image and attitude regarding clients, visitors and co‐workers.

Complete daily vehicle pre‐trip and post trip inspections and activity logs.

Maintain vehicle supplies and cleanliness.

Assist clients and patients as needed to safely complete the transfer.

Administer first aid and treatment to sick or injured patients, if needed.

Must be able to understand and operate iPad tablets, GPS devices, and cell phones.

Perform all duties as assigned by AHS and have a flexible schedule.

Must be physically able to step up and down steps, safely secure clients for transport.

Operate Wheelchair and Stretcher lifts. (Training will be provided).

Must be able to lift 150lbs or more with an attendant, as needed.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED

The ability to act quickly in emergency situations

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Valid drivers license with a clean driving record in GA or neighboring state

Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills

Must be at least 21 years old

Pass pre-Employment drug screen

Criminal Background Screening
