    Our Dual Director of Engineering keeps every feature of the hotels in great condition and oversees all projects in the department. They are the department’s leader. They inspire their employees. They engage with guests. All while running an efficient department to provide a quality stay for our guests.

    This role will be supporting both the Hampton Inn & Suites and Courtyard by Marriott located in Fort Wayne, Indiana.

    This job might be for you if you:

    *Have the talent to oversee the entire hotel facility including physical building structure; all mechanical, electrical, HVAC systems and related equipment.

    *Know how to maintain the hotel’s interior and exterior to provide a welcoming atmosphere.

    *Are skilled at maintaining and repairing plumbing, mechanical, and electric work.

    *Know how to recruit, hire, train and retain top talent that will give the WOW experience to all guests.

    *Have the ability to not only supervise hotel employees but mentor and motivate them as well.

    *Are capable to contact vendors for repairs beyond routine maintenance.

    *Can work with your hands and produce quality routine maintenance and general repair including carpentry and painting.

    *Will make sure all work orders are completed in a timely manner.

    *Know how to oversee and implement preventative maintenance programs for the property and its equipment.

    *Can test and maintain water content of swimming pool and whirlpool in accordance with hotel/franchise standards and local Health Department Codes

    *Are able to follow and be responsible for the hotel’s preventative maintenance program.

    If you’re good at:

    *Supervising and create a welcoming work place where employees can perform to the best of their ability.

    *Managing shift operations including staff scheduling, training and coaching.

    *Making repairs on general plumbing systems such as pipelines, toilets, tubs, sinks, whirlpools, and drains.

    *Working with electrical systems such as refrigerator controls, phone systems, televisions, movie systems, key systems, HVAC units and lighting repairs.

    We need someone who:

    *Has a working knowledge of motors, pumps, plumbing, electric, and furniture repair.

    *Is skilled at hand and power tools.

    *Is able to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays.

    *Has good communication skills and relays clear messages.

    *Communicates a welcome message to guests and hotel employees. *Can accept and adjust to in the moment needs and direction of supervisors as needed.

    Qualifications:

    Able to lift, stand, carry tools and equipment

    have some previous experience in carpentry, painting, plumbing, and electrical work.
