Do you love science? Do you enjoy performing in front of large groups? We are looking for charismatic performers who can bring science to life for kids in elementary schools across the St. Louis area! As a "Mad Scientist," you'll lead exciting and interactive 45-60 minute science assemblies for audiences of up to 250 students.
What You’ll Do:
Perform science-themed assemblies filled with fun demonstrations like creating chemical reactions, shooting smoke rings, taking kids on hovercraft rides, and more!
Engage with children through questions and spontaneous interactions, making each presentation unique and lively.
Use your acting, performing, and improvisational skills to capture the imagination of young learners.
Travel to various schools and event venues across the St. Louis area with a reliable vehicle.
What We’re Looking For:
Charismatic performers with a passion for science (experience in acting, performing, or improvisation is preferred).
Strong voice projection and ability to command attention in large spaces.
Confidence in engaging with kids and responding playfully to their answers.
A reliable vehicle is required for traveling between schools.
Availability during school hours, with occasional night events. We’ll schedule based on your availability.
What We Provide:
Complete training, scripts, all equipment, and ongoing support to ensure you're prepared for each show.
This is a very part-time position, with the number of shows you get depending on your schedule, time of year, and the shows you’ve learned.
