E.C. Styberg Engineering in RACINE, WI is Hiring a DIrect Hire but Temporary Payroll Data Entry Clerk to interview and start immediately.
- Pay will vary based on experience and will range between $16/hr. - $20/hr.
- 1st shift - 10-hour days Monday - Thursday 6 AM - 4:30 PM (30-minute lunch) and some overtime hours on Fridays (usually finished by noon)
- The position is estimated to last 4 months and will be re-evaluated at that time

THE FULL-TIME POSITION IS RESPONSIBLE FOR ALL ASPECTS OF THE WEEKLY HOURLY PAYROLL. MAJOR ASPECTS OF THE JOB INCLUDE:
- Data entry of time records for approximately 130 hourly employees into Oracle-based payroll software. Time records consist of a summary time card (in and out, explanation for any non-worked time such as vacation) combined with individual records to record each activity worked on during the day. These individual records can be as few as 1 per day or as many as 15 per day per employee.
- Review of various edit reports to ensure the accuracy of the data entered into the computer.
- Distribution of various reports to supervisory personnel.
- Updating employee master file information for changes as required.
- Processing payroll to generate checks on a weekly basis.
- Transmitting 401(k) information to outside vendor.
- Miscellaneous accounting/payroll related activities as needed.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
- Strong alpha-numeric data entry skills
- 1-3 years previous payroll entry experience
- Strong attention to detail
- Works well under pressure
- ability to relate to a diverse group of individuals while working under the weekly time constraints of processing payroll.
- Strong communication skills
- Previous experience working within Oracle and/or Paycor preferred
