POSITION SUMMARY:
Provide leadership, and direct and manage E-coat operations and colleagues to achieve optimal levels of safety, quality, productivity and delivery to assure internal and external customer satisfaction.
SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Support the Company’s mission, vision, values and goals in performance of daily activities.
· Responsible for performance feedback and leadership of all direct reports including mentoring, coaching, counseling and corrective action when situations dictate.
· Develop and drive the development of departmental strategy goals and identify and track key measurable to support the department goals.
· Provide direction and leadership consistent with plant business plan goals.
· Manage budget and operating controls for e-coating process.
· Ensure that demands of the customer/plant are met based on the production schedule, and communicate that schedule and expectations to direct reports.
· Communicate with customers on an as needed basis to ensure adequate material flow in and out of the plant
· Oversee plant start-up/line start-up and shut down to ensure operational efficacy.
· Oversee the waste water treatment system start-up and shut down.
· Coordinate maintenance activity when an equipment failure occurs.
· Responsible for establishing and managing the preventative maintenance schedule on the line and all other equipment; ensures maintenance schedule compliance. Manage preventative maintenance work orders.
· Maintain all 5S activities throughout the plant and office area.
· Identify and execute opportunities for continuous improvement, i.e. quality, cost reduction, productivity and safety.
· Coordinate and oversee special projects on an as needed basis.
· Provide assistance when needed with the evaluation, design and fabrication of prototype racking and tooling.
· Manages the process to generate shippers and purchase orders, schedule incoming and outgoing shipments.
· Maintains an adequate supply of chemicals for the lab, e-coat line, waste water treatment system and the deionized water system.
· Maintain adequate quantities of critical spare parts for the line, order replacement parts and supplies for the plant when needed.
· Track production reports; monitor plant metrics.
· Develop and utilize visual management systems throughout the plant.
· Ensures adherence to all internal and OSHA required safety procedures in performing daily work activities.
· Maintains high standards of housekeeping throughout the work area.
· Complies with federal, state, local and corporate policies, regulations and laws.
· Adheres to all company policies and procedures (ex. Quality Policy Manual, Colleague Handbook, Change Control, Level II Procedures etc.)

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
· Bachelor’s Degree in Applied Science in Manufacturing, Engineering or Industrial Technology preferred. Master degree preferred.
· Minimum of eight (8) years professional experience in plant/operations management, and two (2) years of management experience.
· Knowledge of manufacturing, stamping, and/or assembly processes as required for the position.
· Strong knowledge of TS 16949 and ISO 14001 regulations.
· Excellent organizational, analytical and communication skills.
· Ability to prioritize responsibilities in a fast paced environment.
· Ability to mentor and teach the team in effective problem solving methods.
· Demonstrated experience in applying lean manufacturing concepts.
· Proven leadership ability and excellent interpersonal skills.
· Ability to work well with others in a team environment.
· Proficient in Microsoft Office software.
· Ability to read and write in English and perform mathematical calculations.
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance OR demonstrated ability to meet the job requirements through a comparable number of years of applicable work experience.
CPA/MBA is strongly preferred.
Prior Accounting supervisory experience is required.
Experience in a manufacturing profit center environment is strongly preferred.
SAP or other ERP/Accounting software system is required.
Highly proficient in Microsoft products and other applicable accounting and financial systems
