Job Details:
- Schedule: Monday – Thursday, 5:00 am – 3:30 pm
Job Summary: The EDM Machinist II will safely and effectively operate multiple Wire Electrical Discharge Machines (WEDM) for secondary process operations and/or to produce complex parts. This role requires a fundamental understanding of blueprints and GD&T, along with the use of inspection layout and tools to troubleshoot and control the manufacturing process.
Job Qualifications:
- Training and Experience Requirements:
- A minimum of 2 years of work experience, trade school, vocational education, or apprenticeship is required.
- At least 1 year of experience in WEDM machining.
- Practical experience with conventional machining is desirable.
- The ability to use manual inspection tools is required.
- Practical application of machine shop mathematics.
- Exposure to basic CAD/CAM is desirable.
- Experience in Sinker and Small Hole machining is desirable.
Education, Licenses, and Certifications:
- A high school diploma or GED is required.
- Trade school, vocational education, or a 2-year apprenticeship with 1 year of work experience is acceptable in lieu of a high school diploma or GED.
- College coursework is desirable.
