    Salary range: $20-$24 per hour based on a combination of cumulative experience working in the industry, level of education, and classroom assignment.

    $1000 sign-on bonus for candidates who come in fully certified, with at least one year of experience as a LEAD classroom teacher, and the ability to work in a classroom for any/all required shifts.

    Additional sign-on bonus may be available for teachers who meet the qualifications, above, plus have more than a year of experience specifically in a Toddlers Classroom AND a willingness to work with any stage of infant/toddler development.

    Schedule: We are a full-year center open from 7am-6pm, Monday-Friday. Available work shifts are: 8am-5pm, 8:30pm-5:30pm, and 9am-6pm. Employees are expected to be able to work any/all of these shifts.

    What is it like to be a teacher at The Goddard School in Middleton?

    Our classroom teachers work as a co-teaching team. They are responsible for coordinating the daily operations of assigned classes. Teachers will plan, present, and evaluate educational and recreational activities for childcare in a safe environment and work directly with children and parents daily to provide quality customer service.

    Required Qualifications:

    · Certified by The Massachusetts Department of Early Education and Care to work with Infants/Toddlers and Preschool.

    · Able to meet fingerprint and background check requirements in accordance with the regulations of The MA Department of Early Education and Care.

    · Knowledge of early childhood education protocols, including safety and emergency first-aid procedures.

    · Able to develop strong relationships and communicate effectively with children, parents, and other faculty members.

    · Desire to be part of a collaborative team environment.

    · Dependable, available, and reliable.

    · Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. in connection with the handling of children for the facilitation of programs, child safety, and potential emergency situations. For Infant and Young Toddler Teachers, must be able to properly lift infants into and out of a crib, as well as onto changing tables.

    · Must be able to work any required 9-hour shift between the hours of 7:00AM - 6:00PM, Monday-Friday (Flexibility Required)

    · Able to attend faculty meetings on the 3rd Wednesday evening of each month (Flexibility Required)

    · Ability to hear the conversational voice, with or without a hearing aid

    · Ability to see and read newsprint, with or without corrective lenses

    · Ability to speak and be understood under normal circumstances

    · Ability to use arms, hands, legs, and feet, with or without corrective devices; this includes the ability to evacuate the building during emergencies

    · Ability to handle crisis situations, especially where children are involved

    · Ability to respond immediately to emergency situations
