    Position Summary:
    We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a EEG Technician / EEG Department.

    In this role, the successful candidate is responsible for routine EEG simple studies and the associated administrative paperwork Under close supervision of a physician or a more senior technologist may perform critical or complex studies for immediate diagnosis as needed

    Job Responsibilities:

    * Performs other duties as assigned
    * Performs routine EEG studies Adheres to laboratory guidelines for impedance testing and montage selection
    * Collects information on the patient s history current medications and a description of current seizures for the technical report
    * Completes appropriate paperwork for each patient including those required for department statistical and billing purposes Ensure reports are accurate and prepared timely for the physician to review
    * Reviews studies performed with supervising physician on a regular basis
    * Participates in conferences related to EEG in the department
    * Cleans electrodes and maintains equipment
    

    Minimum Qualifications:
    To qualify, you must have a High School diploma, required. Current and valid BLS or CPR Certification is required. ABRET American Board of Registration of Electroencephalographic and Evoked Potential Technologists EEG certification within 5 years of hire for all hires on or after 1/1/16 one (1) year performing EEG studies OR completion of an accredited or formalized program OR a Bachelor's degree in a related field. Strong communication skills are required.

    Qualified candidates must be able to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization.

    NYU Langone Health provides a salary range to comply with the New York state Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $72,990.30 - $84,304.09 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
