Butterfly Staffing is seeking an EIT Civil Engineer on the Land Development side to support a range of exciting projects in the region. 

What You’ll Do

As an EIT Civil Engineer, you’ll work closely with project managers and cross-functional teams to design and deliver land development solutions. Your role will be dynamic, involving both design and coordination across multiple disciplines.

• Contribute to civil engineering design and technical documents for land development projects

• Prepare engineering plans, reports, and technical specifications from schematic design through construction

• Perform hydrologic and hydraulic (H&H) analysis to ensure stormwater compliance

• Manage and coordinate permitting efforts with regulatory agencies

• Support proposal development, including scoping and estimating fees

• Conduct occasional site visits and field inspections

• Collaborate with internal and external teams to meet project goals

What We’re Looking For

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field

• 2+ years of civil engineering experience (land development preferred)

• Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification required

• Experience in site design, grading, stormwater management, and utility layout

• Familiarity with Hampton Roads region land development processes is a plus

• Proficiency in engineering software (AutoCAD Civil 3D preferred)

• Comfortable working in Microsoft Office; Bluebeam Revu experience is a bonus

• Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset

• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
