Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Clinical EMR Trainer to join our team in Park Ridge/Naperville, IL. This role will focus on providing essential EMR support and training to new and existing providers, with a primary focus on the Wound Plan system. As a key member of our team, you will work to ensure seamless integration and functionality of the wound plan within our clinical practice.
Key Responsibilities:
- Wound Plan Training: Serve as the primary trainer for new and current providers on our home-grown Wound Plan EMR system, ensuring they are proficient in using the EMR for wound assessment, treatment, and documentation.
- EMR Support: Provide ongoing clinical support, troubleshooting issues, answering questions, and assisting providers in utilizing the Wound Plan system effectively.
- Provider Support: Available to receive calls, messages, and support requests from providers regarding wound documentation, assessments, and treatment within the Wound Plan EMR.
- Collaboration with Clinical Team: Work closely with providers and IT to ensure that the Wound Plan system is operating smoothly and that any technical or clinical challenges are addressed promptly.
- Wound Care Knowledge: Use your understanding of wound care to support providers in accurately documenting and managing patient care using the EMR system.
- Continuous Improvement: Help identify and implement best practices for using the Wound Plan system to improve efficiency and patient care outcomes.
Qualifications:
- Education/Experience:
- Medical Assistant (MA) or equivalent clinical training.
- Previous experience in wound care preferred, but not required.
- Hands-on experience with EMR systems, specifically in a clinical setting.
- Skills & Abilities:
- Strong technical knowledge of EMR functionality.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively train providers and collaborate with the clinical team.
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to the Wound Plan EMR system.
- Ability to work independently and respond to provider requests in a timely manner.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
