  • Responsibilities

    Job Description

    The EMT will assist nurses and paramedics with assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating direct and indirect clinical care to patients. With the support of paramedics and clinical staff the EMT will utilize their expertise of evidenced based medical practice to manage unexpected and emergent situations and to mitigate and treat a variety of injuries and illnesses in a prompt and professional manner. The ideal candidate will possess strong clinical skills, the ability to work in high-pressure environments, and a commitment to patient-centered care.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Administer first aid and medical assistance within the EMT scope of practice.
    • Respond promptly to emergency calls and assess the nature and extent of patients' condition.
    • Assessment and documentation of the patient’s vital signs, chief complaint, medical history and prescribed medications.
    • Maintains inventory by checking stock and determining sufficient levels; anticipating needed supplies.
    • Crosstrain to work within the clinics, emergency room and inpatient units.
  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    Basic Requirements/Certifications:

    • U.S. state licensed EMTs, with National Registry, or current unrestricted licenses.
    • Basic Life Support (BLS)
    • Advanced trauma course (PHTLS, ITLS, TCCC, etc.)
    • Ability to work in a high stress environment and make quick decisions in emergency situations.
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and Electronic Medical Records (EMR).
    • Experience on a military site working as a government subcontractor or prime contractor is preferred.

    Education Required:

    • Current Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) certification from an accredited program.

    Physical Requirements:

    • Must meet pre-deployment physical requirements
    • Work involves sitting and standing for prolonged periods of time.
    • May require bending, stooping and lifting to 25 lbs.

    Other Special Qualifications:

    • US Citizen or Permanent Resident Card is required.
    • Valid US Passport with at least 6 months before expiration date. Must maintain a current passport during your stay in Iraq.
    • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance, specifically a MRPT. Applicants with current clearances are preferred.
    • Must be able to relocate to Iraq for the duration of the project.
    • Must be able to read, write and speak English to effectively communicate.

    Compensation | Min: 60,000 Max: 85,000

    Pay range is based on several factors and may vary in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits. Final salary and offer will be determined by the applicant’s background, experience, skills, internal equity, and alignment with geographical market data.
