OccuMedX Group, Inc is recruiting for an EMT or Paramedic to join our team as an Onsite Medical Partner as a member of our construction occupational health solutions team. An Onsite Medical Partner operates an onsite health clinic for injured workers and is an integrated part of the safety team on a construction project.
Description:
OccuMedX Group, Inc., a national provider of employee health solutions, is seeking an EMT or Paramedic to join our construction occupational health solutions team as an Onsite Medical Partner. The role involves operating an onsite health clinic, providing emergency medical response, injury prevention, health assessments, and equipment management. The Onsite Medical Partner integrates into the construction project’s safety team to enhance worker health and safety.
Duties:
Emergency Medical Response:
Provide immediate medical care in response to accidents, injuries, or medical emergencies occurring on the construction site.
Assess and stabilize injured or ill workers, administer appropriate medical interventions, and coordinate transportation to a medical facility if necessary.
Maintain thorough documentation of all medical assessments, treatments, and interventions.
Injury Prevention and Safety:
Conduct regular safety walks to identify potential risks.
Collaborate with the project team to implement preventive measures.
Provide ongoing education and training to workers on topics such as first aid, CPR, workplace safety, and injury prevention.
Health Assessment and Monitoring:
Implement and oversee the workplace wellness program, including health screenings, assessments, education, and preventative care to all onsite partners.
Monitor and manage employee health concerns, such as workplace injuries, illnesses, and exposure to hazardous materials.
Manage client's onsite drugs of abuse program
Medical Equipment and Supplies Management:
Ensure the availability and proper function of medical equipment, supplies, and medications necessary for emergency care and first aid.
Conduct regular inventory checks, maintain stock levels, and oversee the storage and organization of medical supplies.
Maintain cleanliness of the onsite clinic and office.
Documentation and Reporting:
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all medical incidents, treatments, and follow-up care provided to workers.
Prepare incident reports, injury logs, and other documentation required for regulatory compliance and internal reporting purposes.
Communicate effectively with management, project team, and external agencies.
Other Duties:
Build lasting relationships with our internal and external partners.
Integrate with the client project team to support client objectives and programs.
Other duties as assigned.
Conditions of Employment:
Current State or National Certification or Registration as an EMT or Paramedic required.
Active BLS for Healthcare Providers Certification required.
Minimum of three years of experience in a pre-hospital or clinical environment preferred.
OSHA 30 Construction certification - Must obtain within first 30 days of employment (Employer Provided).
Familiarity with occupational health and safety regulations, including OSHA standards preferred.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with employees and clients at all levels required.
Strong organization skills and attention to detail, with the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment required.
Must be able to adapt to changes without compromise and become proficient quickly.
Must be able to operate effectively in unpredictable situations.
Must be able to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, and/or diagram form.
Comfortable in a construction environment.
Must be able to stand, walk, and sit for extended periods; climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl; must be able to regularly lift and/or move more than 50 pounds.
Must be comfortable working at heights.
This position is considered a critical function withing the company; subject to call back and overtime if required.
Flexibility to work varying shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays, as needed.
Must adhere to all work rules, procedures, and standards.
