Job Title: Direct Support Professional/Autistic Support
Location: Quakertown, PA
About Us: We are currently seeking a responsible and reliable individual to work directly with an autistic young adult within the Quakertown area. The position involves providing in-home and community-based Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA) support as part of a knowledgeable behavioral team. The individual you will be working with is pleasant, fun to be around, has a good sense of humor, loves reading, and has a keen ability to learn new skills. She thrives with structure, routines, and the use of technology.
Job Type: Part-time
Salary: $30.00 - $35.00 per hour
Hours: 6:00 pm - 10:00 pm, flexible days Monday through Friday **FLEXIBLE Saturday and Sunday hours
Experience working with adults with Autism required
Familiarity with ABA techniques and principles required
Responsibilities:
Implementing the techniques of ABA and following the Positive Behavioral Support Plan (PBSP).
Collecting data on the individual's progress and behaviors.
Assisting with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs).
Providing positive reinforcement and support in accordance with the ABA approach.
Maintaining regular communication with the behavioral team and the individual's family.
Qualifications:
Must have at least one of the following degrees or certifications: Bachelor's degree in human services or Completion of RBT coursework and RBT certification, NADD Certification or Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)
Experience working with adults with Autism required.
Familiarity with ABA techniques and principles.
Successful completion of a drug test and the PA Background Check process
Possession of a valid driver's license and access to reliable transportation.
