    JOB SUMMARY: We are searching for a skilled and motivated EV Charger Field Service Technician. This key role is responsible for the onsite repair and maintenance of EV charging stations in the United States, including but not limited to site safety, electrical system maintenance/repair, site field reports, and other duties as required to properly maintain and operate the site within the contractual requirements. This role must be able to work independently with little to no supervision and will be required to work extensively in the field under various conditions.

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

    Troubleshoot interoperability charging communication issues on DC fast chargers & adapters.

    Collect & analyze PLC charging communication & vehicle CAN data.

    Update Test Vehicles with Hardware and/or Software and perform smoke tests to ensure successful updates

    Ensure Charging System (components and software) operation by monitoring logs and communications between ECUs

    Maintain high awareness of the EV charging infrastructure in the USA and how it relates to the NACS adoption to align our vehicle testing efforts. This includes charging communication protocols, running log reports, testing chargers, charging service functionality, & adapters.

    Regular and proactive communication to management of project issues, delays, risks with potential solutions and needed resources

    Work independently and meet deadlines

    Willingness to travel domestically.

    Other duties as assigned.

    Education and Experience:

    Bachelor's Degree in Electrical/Electronics & Engineering preferred.

    Experience in EVSE Services

    Minimum 2 years of electric vehicle experience

    Familiar with High Voltage system development and vehicle integration

    Excellent analytical & problem-solving skills

    Excellent verbal, presentation, and written communication skills

    Knowledge of vehicle diagnostic and analysis tools such as Vector, Iotecha, CAN/CANalyzer, DTS Monaco

    Excellent level Microsoft Office package (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook)

    Ticketing and Reporting systems

    Competencies:

    Strong engineering experience in charging communication standards & vehicle charging testing methodologies.

    Understands and lives a “customer first” mentality with empathy, pragmatism and a hands-on approach

    Communication skills, oral and written presentation skills

    Structured, and organized with the ability to prioritize tasks

    Job Type: Exempt

    Pay: $66,560.00 - $70,720.00

    The above represents the expected range for this job requisition. Ultimately, in determining your pay, we'll consider your experience and other job-related factors.

    Schedule:

    Extensive travel required to perform this role, combined ground and air travel at time will bring the requirement to close to 100%

    Technicians are required to plan and manage their workday to ensure that they are working in the most effective and efficient manner

    8-hour shift Mondays – Fridays 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.
