    Job Description

    COMPENSATION: Base salary of $40,000 plus quarterly performance bonuses (up to $5,000 quarterly / $20,000 annually) based on performance measures. Medical, vision, dental benefits. 401k options available.

    LOCATION: REMOTE / VIRTUAL: Our main office is located in Cleveland, Ohio. However, you don’t need to live in Ohio. Several of our best employees are remote and reside in other states.

    TYPES OF WORK INCLUDE:

    • managing case tasks without constant interruption or micromanagement

    • scheduling litigation events with multiple groups of defense lawyers, witnesses, clients, experts, court reporters, etc.

    • managing lawyers’ calendars for case-specific items

    • responsible for filing documents with court clerks and corresponding with opposing counsel

    • prepare medical records for discovery, identify issues, omissions and discrepancies.

    • drafting, and drafting responses to, discovery requests

    • keeping clients informed, both proactively and in response to inquiries on case status.

    • calling courts, clerks’ offices, clients, opposing counsel, etc. for various questions.

    • Saving and filing (digitally) documents according to specific folder structures and file name conventions.

    • preparing for and working on trials

    • taking ownership and accountability to get stuff done.

    EXPERIENCE: You do not need to know how to do everything already, and prior law firm/legal experience is not a requirement. This position is open to recent college grads. Prior experience is a problem if you lack flexibility and the willingness to adopt our systems and be part of our team.
