About the Position

Ensemble Music Schools is seeking a fun and nurturing music educator who is experienced in teaching early childhood music in a small group lesson setting for our East Bay Area schools New World Music Academy and Reeder Music Academy located in Pleasanton, Alamo, Dublin, and Danville, CA. We are looking for instructors who will teach IN PERSON. The ability to teach one on one instrumental lessons is a plus.

Successful candidates will have a strong music background evidenced by a degree in Music Education or Music Performance and a demonstrated love of teaching. Experience working with children ages 3.5 to 5 years old, and the ability to pass a routine background check are a must. Proficient piano and/or guitar skills are helpful but not required. The candidate should feel comfortable reading, interpreting and implementing lesson plans from a program.

Instructor pay is commensurate with experience and will be in the range of $40-$45/hour for group lessons. A 401(K) program with employer matching is available to all of our employees after 90 days on the job. ****

At Reeder Music Academy, one-on-one instruction is customized to each student's skill level and focused on helping them grow at a comfortable yet challenging pace. Private lessons are recommended for students at the advanced- beginner level and higher, and for total beginners who want to progress at the fastest rate possible. We offer lessons in ​ Cello, Clarinet, Double Bass, Drums, Flute, Guitar & Bass Guitar, Piano, Saxophone, Trombone, Trumpet, Ukulele, Viola, Violin, Voice, & Composition.
