    Position: Preschool Director of Education As our Director of Education, you’ll be dedicated to the success of our next generation, committed to creating a safe, healthy environment and a culture where all children and team members can thrive. You will be responsible for onboard training of new staff, continued training of current staff, classroom observations and teacher feedback, monitoring sanitation and health and safety aspects in the classroom and ensuring the curriculum is being followed and implemented.     Shift Schedule: 9:00am to 6:00pm, but you will need to have flexibility between 7:00am and 6:00pm as needed.

    Primary Responsibilities:

    Maintain strong relationships with our families, staff, and vendors

    Cultivate and maintain a safe and enjoyable culture while working in a fast-paced environment

    Understands and has strong working knowledge of Primrose Balanced Learning® curriculum

    Passionately believes in and can communicate all aspects of the Primrose Balanced Learning® approach to teaching and learning

    Participates in the selection and hiring of teaching staff

    Coordinates with other members of the Leadership Team implementing the training plan for new teaching staff according to classroom-specific Continual Learning Guides

    Ensures teacher training requirements are up to date

    Conducts classroom observations to regularly support and ensure Balanced Learning® curriculum implementation and delivery

    Collaborate with other members of the Leadership Team to provide ongoing feedback for teaching staff, using a variety of tools such as Classroom Observation Forms and Teacher Evaluations

    Works with teachers to identify strengths and areas of opportunity to design plans for continual improvement

    Creates a culture of engagement by empowering teachers to find solutions for themselves

    Maintains confidentiality

    Maintains inventory of the school's Resource Room and supply shop for items needed

    Ability to perform all essential functions for each position in the school, including, but not limited to other Leadership Team positions, Teacher, School Cook, etc.

    Desired skills and experience:

    Must meet requirements of local childcare regulatory agency and Primrose School at Brier Creek (NC Background Check Qualifying Letter)

    Early Childhood Education degree and Level 2 or 3 NC Childcare Admin Credential

    At least two years’ work experience in a licensed childcare facility or equivalent program

    Strong background in state licensing regulations, staffing, enrollment and training

    Demonstrated highly effective organizational, time management, and multitasking skills
