    Early Childhood Soccer Coordinator, Soccer Shots Harrisburg/York

    Soccer Shots is the leader in youth soccer development for children ages 2-8. Our nationally recognized program offers a high-energy, fun, age-appropriate introduction to the wonderful game of soccer. Our innovative curriculum emphasizes both soccer skills and character development. Our goal is simple: to leave a lasting, positive impact on every child we serve.

    Seasonal Position starting as early as August and latest September 8th and going into mid to late November. Flexible in number of hours with minimum of 15 and maximum of 40.

    It is the coordinator's responsibility to assist the Executive Director (ED) in all duties related to the operation of Soccer Shots and to help grow and improve the program in the entire territory. PC assists in the following overall responsibilities:

    Implements the company's high standard for program quality through the entire territory and ensures that coaches exceed these standards.

    Sets examples for staff in the areas of personal character, commitment, communication, and work habits.

    Exhibits the highest level of competence with coaching assignments to set standard for team.

    Helps to staff a team of high-quality coaches.

    Follows established plans and strategies to strengthen the current business while expanding the customer base.

    Demonstrates excellent customer service and frequent and timely communication at all times.

    The coordinator will work off seasonal and annual Action Plans, prepared by the Executive Director, and will be responsible for assisting with the following job functions:

    Marketing and Communication:

    Assisting in the execution of seasonal marketing/promotions -- running program demonstrations, distributing marketing materials.

    Communicating with parents, directors, and other account representatives *Assisting with the writing and emailing of newsletters, per schedule

    Assisting with social media

    Representing Soccer Shots at industry events, open houses, etc.

    Running special events

    Helping in writing and distributing press releases to local news media

    Administration:

    Assisting with the scheduling and preparation of all promotional materials for each season

    Assisting with the organization and managing of the reg. and enrollment process at sites

    Maintaining instructor equipment and prize inventory

    Coaching & Coaching Leadership:

    Coaching -- coaching schedule during seasons (9 weeks for fall) will make up 65-70% of time. As a coach, one must be enthusiastic and must enjoy interacting with young children and able to connect with them on their level.

    Serves as a role model to children, exemplifying Soccer Shots core values and program philosophy.

    Commitment to excellence, quality, and safety through participation in the game of soccer.Teaches children basic soccer skills while also stressing the importance of character forming lessons such as respect, teamwork, and sharing.

    Effectively communicates with Soccer Shots leadership and team as well as center directors, teachers, and parents.

    Assisting with recruiting, hiring, scheduling, training, evaluating, and managing coaches.

    Assisting with maintaining master schedule; handling cancellations and reschedules, as needed.

    Assisting with collecting required signed paperwork for staff coaches and maintaining accurate and complete staff files.
