    Job Summary We are seeking an experienced and energetic Early Childhood (Young Toddler Teacher) to join our team! You will be responsible for encouraging children’s intellectual, psychological, and physical growth. The ideal candidate is nurturing, patient, and creative.     Responsibilities

    Plan games and activities that are developmentally appropriate

    Design daily, weekly lesson plans, goals, and newsletters

    Provide basic care and caregiving activities

    Evaluate/observe children to ensure they are reaching developmental milestones (Maintain portfolio for each student)

    Follow an age appropriate curricular, plan and facilitate a supportive relationship with director and Co-Workers,

    The teacher is accountable for knowing ODJFS licensing requirements and following the OHIO Early Standards

    Accept and maintain responsibility on a daily basis for the ordered arrangement, appearance, decor, and cleanliness of the learning environment of the classroom.

    Create safe and appropriate diapering, toileting, and handwashing areas and help children with all personal hygiene skills

    Serve as a role model for the children in the areas of attitude, speech and actions on a daily basis

    Treat each child with dignity and respect

    Encourage children's development in the areas of building self-confidence and problem solving

    Interact with each child on a daily basis through circle time, centers, snacks, lunchtime, outside play and free play etc

    Other duties as assigned from Director

    Qualifications

    Previous experience as a daycare teacher or childcare provider

    Associate Degree/CDA or Bachelors Degree in early childhood Education or a complimentary degree is preferred but not required

    Must meet quarterly/annual continuing education courses

    Strong understanding of child development

    Must maintain professionalism at all times, must be patient and kind to all childcare staff members/directors/supervisors and parents

    Excellent organizational, communication, and time management skills

    Background (FBI/BCI) First aid/CPR certified
