OUTREACH SPECIALIST
In anticipation of receiving grant funding in the coming months, the Early Learning Coalition of Northwest Florida is looking for a candidate that has a can-do-attitude, is tenacious, energetic, hardworking, innovative, resourceful, and creative to work on projects directly related to community outreach in a 7-county service area and may require program specific training, event planning and attendance, research, and data tracking. The Outreach Specialist will work closely with the Community Development and Outreach Coordinator, Education Services Director, Executive Director, and other members of the Executive staff. This position is scheduled to end September 2024 but may be extended based on funding.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Deliver excellent internal and external customer service by completing child care resource and referral services (CCR&R) as required.
• Ensure all CCR&R and Outreach requirements are met according to the signed grant agreement.
• Assists with the completion and documentation of systematic internal/external monitoring processes.
• Ensure the timely maintenance, coordination, and reporting of CCR&R, as required.
• Assist with the development, maintenance, and distribution of the coalition directory of community resources; coordinate with community partners to ensure the accuracy of resource information.
• Plan and assist with outreach and awareness projects as directed.
• Maintain community visibility across the Coalition service area; seeks opportunities to expose the community to the Coalition.
• Identifies and participates in opportunities to promote the purpose, mission, and services of the Coalition in the community, as required by the grant agreement(s).
• Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements
• Associate degree in early childhood education, child development, or another relevant field required.
• Minimum 2 years experience in sales, customer service, or community outreach a plus.
• Outstanding communication and presentation skills.
Other Requirements
• Must possess a valid Florida driver’s license and current automobile liability insurance policy.
• The selected candidate will be required to submit and pass a local and national background screen and pre-employment drug screen prior to their date of hire.
