Trexis Insurance is recruiting for a full-time Automobile Early Settlement Claims Team Lead. The Team Lead position works closely with their assigned adjusters to assure the timely and appropriate investigation and resolution of auto liability claims, based on established process workflows and performance metrics. This position requires good interpersonal skills, including the ability to deal with all levels of people; above average research skills; the ability to gather data and present ideas at a level commensurate with the intended audience; and the ability to multitask daily. The ideal candidate will possess the experience and knowledge to handle liability claims and to develop personnel on a global and personal level through focused training, daily coaching. and unit meetings.
Qualifications:
Minimum of 3 years Personal Lines Auto Adjusting experience
Four Year College Degree preferred, however a candidate with 3 years Personal Lines Auto Adjusting experience and previous experience in leadership or employee mentorship will be considered
Strong adjusting and negotiation skills with knowledge of general claim principles and adjusting procedures
Supervisory experience preferred but not required
Ability to multitask and work well with minimal hands-on supervision
Excellent interpersonal skills including the ability to interact with a wide variety of people.
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Microsoft Word, Excel, Windows 95 or above, Microsoft Access, AS 400 system and Internet browsing.
General office skills include faxing, copying, typing 30wpm
Duties:
Accountability for assigned staff while handling a personal load of claims. This requires an ability to effectively organize time and effort of the day-to-day training of team members, completing consistent and accurate file reviews, and filling in during the Unit Supervisor’s absence.
Understanding and use of Claims Best Practices in personal file handling and the file reviews of assigned adjusters in order to meet quality standards expected in our department. This is measured by results of your individual and team monthly audits and monthly file reviews conducted by the Supervisor.
Assign claims on an equitable basis. Use AS400 and network resources to determine coverage.
Review and provide file direction for adjusters.
Monitor files for reserve accuracy.
Responsibility to resolve or direct resolution of PD claims within the team in an equitable fashion to ensure PD severity is maintained at an acceptable level in your unit.
Demonstrates bodily injury skills at the appropriate level which includes effecting and directing BI Cashouts on claims within the team.
Promoting the prompt and efficient handling of physical damage claims by minimizing the Average Days to Close a PD and Comp/Coll claim within your team.
Maximizing customer satisfaction by demonstrating excellent verbal and written communication skills with customers and employees alike. This includes assisting the Unit Supervisor in promptly and effectively handling customer complaints which arise from your adjuster’s handling of the file.
Supervision of Early Settlement Unit adjusters.
