    ** The Christian School Interventionist plays a crucial role in supporting students not just academically, but also in their personal and spiritual growth. They serve as a bridge between students, parents, faculty, and administration, facilitating communication and collaboration to implement strategies and accommodations for students with exceptional needs. As the Student Success Specialist identifies, assesses, and reports on academic needs, and provides plans to bridge gaps and build on successes, the Interventionist will work along with the Student Success Specialist to implement these plans.     The Interventionist will report to the Student Success Specialist. The Interventionist is expected to contribute actively to chapel services and other spiritual development activities. All certified staff members are expected to embrace opportunities to integrate Christian values and principles into all aspects of education, fostering a holistic approach to students' growth.

    Required Professional Qualities

    • A minimum of an earned bachelor’s degree in education or a related field with related experience
    • Certified or able to receive certification through ACSI and the state of Florida
    • Commitment to Christian values and the integration of faith into the curriculum.
    • Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.

    Essential Job Functions

    • Assist in the design and creation of student intervention plans.
    • Work with the Student Success Specialist to develop, select, and modify instructional plans and materials to meet the needs of all students.
    • Participate in team reviews concerning academic progress for students in need of services.
    • Implement academic interventions using research based methodology in reading and/or math that the Student Success Specialist has developed, including but not limited to small group pull-out instruction, push-in support, monitoring fidelity of accommodations, administration of assessments, and pre/post assessment data.
    • Communicate with school personnel, specifically the Student Success Specialist, regarding the rate of progress of individual students.
    • Maintain appropriate records and follow required procedures and practices.
    • Provide an atmosphere and environment conducive to the spiritual, intellectual, physical, social, and emotional development of each student to ensure success.
    • Possess highly effective communication skills with both adults and students.
