    Only Director Qualified leaders with Early Childhood Education (ECE) background will be considered for this position.

    We are looking for a Director Qualified Education Director for Primrose School of Plainfield. Each new addition to the Primrose Family has the opportunity to strengthen the message of why Primrose Teams do what we do, to reinforce how we make a difference, and to expand our ability to serve more children and families.

    Education Director trains all teachers and continually support the development of their skills, abilities and understanding of the balanced learning curriculum and its implementation in the classrooms. Education Director will lead on-hands, in-classroom trainings and train teachers by modeling for them. Education Director ensures that the staff provides the best possible learning and care experience for the children in our programs, oversees the curriculum, and markets the facility and our programs. Education Director will be responsible for doing in-classroom curriculum implementation observations and provide constructive feedback. Education Director will also be responsible for coaching and setting goals for teachers. Depending on staffing ratios, the Education Director may need to function in any capacity within the facility, including filling in as interim director or a classroom teacher or performing administrative duties. He or she must have a good understanding of childcare management and early education.

    QUALIFICATIONS

    Must be Director Qualified and meet all requirements stipulated by the state

    Minimum 2 years of experience being an Education Director/ Education coach/curriculum Director and 2 years of classroom teaching experience in an accredited early childhood facility

    Excellent communication, customer service, and problem solving skills, including the ability to maintain composure under stress

    Strong organization skills, able to multi-task, and can manage time to meet frequently changing deadlines in a fast-paced environment

    Meet all licensing requirements for transporting children and maintaining their safety preferred.

    A degree in Early Childhood Education or related field preferred.

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    · Understands, promotes, and models Primrose School of Plainfield's vision, purpose and mission.

    · Understands and has strong working knowledge of Primrose Balanced Learning® curriculum

    · Passionately believes in and is able to communicate all aspects of the Primrose Balanced Learning® approach to teaching and learning

    · Participates in the selection and hiring of teaching staff

    · Coordinates with other members of the Leadership Team to implement the training plan for new teaching staff according to classroom-specific Continual Learning Guides

    · Ensures teacher training requirements are up-to-date

    · Conducts classroom observations to regularly support and ensure Balanced Learning® curriculum implementation and delivery

    · Collaborates with other members of the Leadership Team to provide ongoing feedback for teaching staff, using a variety of tools such as Classroom Observation Forms and Teacher Evaluations

    · Works with teachers to identify strengths and areas of opportunity to design plans for continual improvement

    · Creates a culture of engagement by empowering teachers to find solutions for themselves
