    The Goddard School of Murray Hill is seeking an experienced, dynamic, and organized leader to join their early childhood center as Director of Education. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the educational programs and curriculum of the school, ensuring the highest standards of early childhood education. This role requires a passionate leader dedicated to creating a nurturing, stimulating, and safe learning environment for young children.

    Salary

    · $90,000 - $120,000/year pending qualifications and professional Early Childhood Education experience

    Job Responsibilities

    · Leadership: Provide visionary leadership and oversee all aspects of the preschool's daily operations including staffing and curriculum integrity

    · Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with all brand, local, state, and federal regulations and licensing requirements, maintain a safe and healthy learning environment for children, implement and oversee quality assurance programs related to curriculum to ensure high standards of care and education, conduct regular assessments and evaluations of programs and staff, and address and resolve any issues or concerns related to faculty promptly and effectively

    · Staff Leadership and Development: Recruit, hire, onboard, train, and supervise preschool staff, including teachers, assistants, and administrative personnel, conduct and oversee 90-day reviews, conduct regular classroom observations and annual performance evaluations to provide ongoing professional development opportunities, and foster a collaborative and supportive work environment that encourages staff engagement and retention

    · Curriculum and Program Development: Work with educational staff to develop and implement a high-quality, developmentally appropriate curriculum, order classroom supplies, ensure that educational programs meet the needs of all children, including those with special needs, and evaluate and update programs regularly to maintain alignment with best practices and emerging trends in early childhood education

    · Parent Communication: Build strong relationships with families and maintain open lines of communication, conduct family tours, develop and promote parent engagement events (art fair, science fair, and back to school night) that encourage family involvement in the educational process, arrange and conduct parent/teacher conferences as needed, produce transition letters as well as both weekly and monthly newsletters, and resolve any parent issues or concerns promptly and effectively

    Qualifications:

    · A valid and verifiable NYS teaching certification required

    · At least 2-years of Lead Teacher experience in a licensed early education facility working with children 5-years-old and younger required

    · At least 2-years of continuous experience as a Director in an early education facility with at least 100 enrolled students required

    · Experience managing at least 30-people required

    · Familiarity with and willingness to closely adhere to and enforce federal and state childcare licensing standards required

    · Proficient computer skills in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, etc.) required

    · Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. in connection with the handling of children for the facilitation of programs, child safety, and potential emergency situations. For Infant and Young Toddler Teachers, must be able to properly lift infants into and out of a crib

    · Must meet background check eligibility
