Job Summary: The Job Location: 2500 E Van Buren St, Phoenix, AZ, 85007 The Program Strategist – Education Program Specialist at the Arizona State Hospital (ASH) will provide oversight and guidance for the special education services provided to patients. This role will focus on planning, developing, and evaluating educational programs in compliance with state and federal regulations, including IDEA and Arizona Department of Education guidelines. The position requires an active teaching certification for special education, and the candidate will be required to assist with educational assessments, curriculum development, and the creation of individualized education programs (IEPs).

Key Responsibilities:

· Develop, organize, and evaluate special education services for ASH patients.

· Review patient records and assess eligibility for special education services.

· Administer educational evaluations and assessments.

· Develop IEPs and appropriate educational curriculums in line with state and federal regulations.

· Support and guide teaching staff and provide education on best practices.

· Maintain patient educational records in compliance with state and federal laws.

· Assist with treatment planning and reporting for special education services.

Qualifications:

· Must possess a current teaching certification for Special Education.

· Experience in special education programming, IEP development, and legal compliance (IDEA).

· Strong knowledge of educational assessment and curriculum development.

· Ability to work independently and provide on-call support as needed.

· Level 1 Fingerprint Clearance Card required.
