We are seeking an On-Site Education Specialist II to support students attracted to STEM. This
full-time dedicated employee must be flexible, hard-working, and proactive to support this Royal
Consulting Project. Our mission is developing and implementing strategies to inspire,
inform, and involve a diverse pool of applicants for STEM Engagement activities, focusing on
underrepresented and underserved populations.
SUMMARY
The Education Specialist II will directly support Royal Consulting's participation in STEM
education. This project provides a comprehensive education portfolio comprised of a broad and
diverse set of programs, projects, activities, products, and related services to drive America's
Strategy for STEM Education; and seeks to contribute to a STEM education ecosystem that consists of
multi-sector partners.
Royal Consulting Firm's involvement is part of a collective vision to support participation in STEM
by creating accessible and inclusive STEM learning opportunities spanning all
educational stages and career pathways. The position of Education Specialist II will report to the
Project Manager during the term of the project. The Education Specialist II will collaborate with
project team members to ensure the efficient execution of CORE and ID/IQ project deliverables. The
Education Specialist II provides requested updates to the project dashboards
and supports monitoring and governance of quality and schedule for assigned projects.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include but are not limited to the following:
• Leads and/or supports efforts for assigned STEM activities, projects, and initiatives, to
include:
o Strategic Planning & Management

• Assists Project Manager in monitoring project progress; creates project status reports for
project managers and stakeholders as needed.
• Assists with resource scheduling so that team members have the resources they need to complete
their tasks on time.
• Manages documents such as the project plan, schedule, or scope statement, as directed by the
project manager.
• Coordinates project management activities, resources, equipment, and information.
• Monitors project progress and assists with handling any issues that arise.
• Assists Project Manager to eliminate blockers.
• Maintains comprehensive project documentation, plans, and reports.
• Review weekly and monthly project control deliverables for compliance with contract documents,
providing feedback and assisting the Project Manager to resolve outstanding issues.
• Attends and prepares accurate meeting minutes for all meetings with the Project Manager, as
directed.
• Conduct research, gather, and organize data/information into reports, and communicate
information as needed.
• Ensures standards and requirements are met through conducting quality assurance
processes.
This position requires a flexible work schedule to include night or daytime hours, weekends,
holidays and/or overtime to support the various schedules for these activities, as well as travel.
KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS
• Expertise and experience in strategic communications, outreach, recruitment, marketing, content
development and/or other related areas.
• Proven work experience as a Project Manager, Coordinator or similar.
• Experience in project management, from conception to delivery.
• An ability to prepare and interpret flowcharts, schedules, and step-by-step action
plans.
• Solid organizational skills, including multitasking and time management.
• Strong client-facing and teamwork skills.
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Project and Microsoft Planner.
QUALIFICATIONS
• Bachelor's or master's Degree in an appropriate field of study or equivalent work
experience.
• 3+ years of project management experience, including tracking and planning.
• 3+ years of experience working with business stakeholders within a cross-functional matrixed
environment.
• 3+ years of experience with full product lifecycle with an understanding of development and various
technology methodologies.
• Intermediate level of proficiency with MS Project, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint, and SharePoint with
experience presenting to stakeholders and / or senior leaders.
• Proven ability to demonstrate a drive for results and accountability of business needs.
• Proven ability to work in complex environments and collaborate across multiple areas to
achieve a common business objective.
• Interpersonal skills to influence and spur change, facilitate and enhance performance within a
cross-functional environment.
• Demonstrate decisiveness in resolving business problems, making decisions, and identifying
priorities.
