General Position Summary:
This position provides general and assigned support services to the Program Director and other Education and Family Service Coordinators. The Education and Family Service Specialist will support with general duties as assigned by Program Director.
Essential Functions:
Advises the Program Director and the coordinator team of significant and important items such as meeting deadlines and other issues requiring timely review and action.
Manages schedules, scheduling appointments and acts as receptionist as needed by the coordinator team.
Composes original letters, narrative, statistical memoranda and reports as appropriate.
Oversees and maintains classroom inventories in concert with coordinator.
Maintain an orderly work area and keep it free of food and beverages.
Relay calls, emails, and accurate messages in a timely manner.
Must be familiar with Microsoft Office Word software, the Internet, and email.
Supports Program Director and Coordinator with deliveries to sites.
Supports program Director and coordinator with orders.
Supervises volunteers and reports monthly in-kind related to the department’s tasks.
Attend trainings and staff meetings as assigned
Must maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgement concerning privileged information.
Maintains a clean, orderly, and safe work environment.
Responsible for special project support as assigned by Directors, including but not limited to event organizing and Agency wide communications.
Other duties as assigned.

Employees are required to report anything that comes to his/her attention that might be considered illegal or a breach of LCECP’s policies or standards. Such issues may come to employees from Families and/or community members as well as co-workers while performing their duties.
Education and Experience:
Associate Degree in Business Administration (or higher)
Previous experience in administrative support role or equivalent
Must obtain a food handler card
Must hold a valid Driver’s License
Job Conditions and Physical Demands:
Must pass a Health Screen and a criminal background check that meets required Head Start and/or ECEAP requirements and LCECP standards.
Must possess a personal cell phone for possible use in Agency business.
This position is eligible for full dental and health benefits after 90 days, if working over 30 hours a week.
