    Position Overview: We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Educational Technician III to join our team in Maine. This role is designed for a professional committed to supporting students with diverse learning needs. As an Ed Tech III, you will work closely with teachers, specialists, and school leadership to provide individualized and small-group instruction, therapeutic support, and a safe, inclusive learning environment.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Work with individual students or small groups to provide instructional and assessment support under the guidance of the teacher.
    • Meet with classroom/program teachers or specialists to receive direction regularly, whenever possible, twice a week.
    • Perform short-term instruction in small classes or community-based programs under indirect supervision.
    • Conduct one-on-one or small group instruction under indirect supervision.
    • Reinforce and review learning introduced by the education specialist.
    • Introduce pre-planned learning activities in consultation with teachers or specialists.
    • Assist with field trips, toilet training programs, cafeteria participation, and comparable activities.

    Qualifications:

    • A minimum of 90 credit hours of approved study in an education-related field.
    • Educational Technician III authorization by the Maine Department of Education.
    • Successful background checks, including criminal records, fingerprinting, and reference checks.
    • Prior experience working with school-age children is preferred.
    • Willingness and physical ability to participate in therapeutic restraint training.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
    • Proficiency with computers and other educational technologies.
