Job Description

PART-TIME HOURLY OPENINGS FOR SKATE CENTER STAFF:

• Concessions staff
• Skate instructor, floor guard or referee.

Skate instructors, floor guards and referees must be able to enforce rules and assist skaters in a friendly and positive manner during skate center activities, while keeping the area clean and safe. 

Must have a flexible schedule including weekends and evenings for 10-15 hours per week.

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS:

1. Instructors, Floor Guards and Referees must have strong skating skills and endurance; be able to skate  for 2-3 hour periods of time on inline or quad skates.

2. Strong customer service skills along with the ability to foster positive relationships with a diverse group of employees, volunteers, and participants.  Strong leadership skills.

3. CPR/First Aid certification or obtain within 30 days of hire.

PHYSICAL DEMAND:

1. Must be able to perform physical tasks appropriate to the position.
2. Must have visual and auditory ability to respond to critical incidents and the physical ability to respond swiftly in an emergency situation.
3. Must be able to coordinate a variety of large and small tasks simultaneously and handle tension and a stress in a positive manner
