POSITION PROFILE
- Leads people, implements manufacturing strategy, manages process and performance within a given value stream
- Ownership over all operational performance metrics within a given value stream; Safety, Quality, Delivery, Lead-Time, Inventory, and Productivity
- Manage area budget and delivers on results
- Drives continuous improvement and lean manufacturing activities both in strategy, facilitation, leadership, and implementation
- Develop and maintain a Value Stream future state to align with overall Operations vision
- Implement and lead daily visual management activities at the cell and department level
- Attracts and develops the talent within the team, creates succession plans
- Leads cross functional team including supervisors, manufacturing engineers, maintenance, vendor planning, and material dispatching
- Support the site EHS program/culture and ensure that all associates are engaged and accountable
- Develop and ensure that processes support quality standards.
- Develop and maintain a communication plan with the department and with each associate
- Acts as a member of the Site Leadership Team
- Challenge status quo; explore new technologies and innovations
- Actively participate in new product development programs
Required Skills
- Change agent with a proven continuous improvement track record
- Breath of experience qualifying them to lead a multi-functional team
- Results oriented through process implementation and problem-solving methodology
- Ability to rally the team around a given objective and clearly chart the course
- Proven experience with daily visual management
- Engaging personality and able to work with all levels of the organization
- Comfortably deals with complex problems and can deal with ambiguity
- Collaborative personality, delegates appropriately and motivates the team
- Deals with conflict, uses sound judgement, and remains approachable and humble
Required Experience
- 5+ years manufacturing operations at a leadership level
- Knowledge of ISO 14001/9001 required.
- Proficient use of Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
- Degree in Technical field or equivalent experience, ideally engineering
