SUMMARY: Coordinate and expedite the flow of work and materials within or between production departments according to the production plan
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Prepare batch cards and all production paperwork
- Release pick lists for pigment hoppers and chemical raw materials
- Sequence batches through production; optimize use of labor, equipment, set ups, and materials
- Compare scheduled production order totals to the master schedule
- Identify and resolve conflicts for capacity of production equipment and labor
- Communicate daily and weekly schedule, progress toward each, and all changes to plant and corporate personnel daily
- Prepare reports on capacity, utilization, load, and schedules
- Act on requested schedule changes including customer expedites
- Bring together on a regular basis Research & Development, Quality Control, Process Engineering, and Production departments to review first time production and critical changes
- Evaluate chemical equipment and processes to identify ways to optimize performance or to ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations

Required Skills
- Bachelors Degree preferred but will consider experience to offset
- Production Scheduler experience required
- 2 years experience working with raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods
- 2 years SAP experience
- Previous experience in planning, scheduling and supervisory
- Excellent verbal and written skills
- Strong presentation building and delivery skills
- Strong computer skills
- Ability and willingness to engage employees, s in some physical activity. You must be able to stand on your feet, lift and move products
- Detail oriented
