    JOB IS LOCATED 1627 KENILWORTH AVENUE, NE, WASHINGTON, DC 20019

    Elaine Ellis Center of Health, a federally qualified healthcare center in Washington, DC, has an opportunity for a full time CONTROLLER to join our dynamic executive team. Only serious professional applicants will be considered. QUALIFIED APPLICANTS WILL HAVE AT LEAST 3-5 YEARS OF EXPERIENCE IN FINANCE AND ACCOUNTING AND IN THE FQHC SETTING.

    SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Review, record, and post journal entries, accounts receivables, accounts payables, and payroll to the general ledger.
    • Generate payments to vendors and employees for reimbursements.
    • Prepare and reconcile bank/financial information monthly.
    • Prepare the Medicare and Medicaid Cost Reports
    • Prepare monthly financial statements for internal and external reporting to the executive team and the Governing Board.
    • Participate in the preparation of all of the Center’s financial reports including end of month and end of year tax reporting and closing procedures.
    • Maintain Fixed Assets and Depreciation Schedule.
    • Participate in the development and implementation of the Center’s accounting policies, procedures and internal controls.
    • Assist management in the preparation of the annual budget.
    • Participate in all external audits and site visits.
    • Complete and submit the Center’s quarterly and annual Federal Financial Reports (FFR).
    • Maintain Center’s financial accounting reports, charts and records securely in an orderly system.
    • Participate in outreach and offsite programs as assigned.
    • Perform other duties and complete special projects as required or assigned
