    We are looking for both entry-level and senior-level technicians to assist with the operation and maintenance of elections ballot processing equipment utilized by our customers.

    Job Duties and Responsibilities:

    · Provide our municipal and state government customers with technical hardware and software support services required to operate and maintain elections voting equipment.

    · Travel to our customers and provide on-demand and preventive maintenance services for elections voting equipment.

    · Develop an understanding of all hardware and software systems utilized by our elections equipment manufacturer.

    · Communicate and cross-train with internal teams to facilitate accurate election preparation and good customer service.

    · Participate in on-site customer training for elections equipment.

    Compensation and Location:

    · Compensation for this position is set at a range of $35,000.00 to $45,000.00 per year. This is a salaried, exempt position. This position’s salary will be commensurate with levels of demonstrated experience.

    · Applicants for this position must be located within 30 miles of either our New Bern, North Carolina or Garner, North Carolina facilities.

    Travel:

    · The position requires travel to customers within our territory (North Carolina, South Carolina, Viriginia, and Georgia) approximately eighty percent (80%) of the year. The position will report to our New Bern, North Carolina facility when not traveling.

    · All business-related expenses (travel, lodgings, etc.) will be covered by Printelect.

    Required Qualifications:

    · Level One (entry-level) position: Minimum high-school diploma or equivalent vocational experience in a technology-based support field.

    · Level Two (senior-level) position: Minimum 4-year degree or equivalent vocational experience in a technology-based support field.

    · Basic (entry-level) or advanced (senior-level) aptitude with electrical and mechanical technology maintenance and support services.

    · Experience working in collaborative team-based environments.

    · Experience with recording, documenting, and reporting in ticket-based or order-based software systems.

    · Ability to work discreetly and adhere to strict security and confidentiality requirements.

    Ideal Skillset:

    · Excellent interpersonal skills with end-users, customers, and co-workers.

    · Focused work ethic with precise attention to accuracy and detail.

    · Ability to master and convey the mechanics of how our customer’s voting elections equipment functions from a hardware and software standpoint.

    · Ability to multitask and prioritize this position’s various initiatives and responsibilities during high-volume workloads.

    · Any prior IT work experience with computer hardware troubleshooting, workstation software troubleshooting, and file server maintenance is highly desired.

    · Any prior experience with converting internal documentation processes and procedures into actionable training materials and in-person trainings is highly desired.

    · Any prior experience in the elections industry is a plus.

    Physical Demands:

    · Must be able to stand, sit, or bend for extended periods of time throughout the workday.

    · Must be able to lift and/or move up to eighty (80) pounds regularly throughout the workday.

    · Must be able to operate a non-commercial (“standard”) motor vehicle for this position’s travel responsibilities.

    · Must be able to occasionally handle a commercial vehicle (i.e. panel truck) as special projects demand.
